Role of Forestry Equipments

By Karl Real

Nature plays a very important role in the lives of human beings. It is the primary source of natural resources. It is the area where we get our foods and even clothing. Nature provides human beings the necessary things for them to survive. There are lots of things that nature has offered to the people. However nature as well has a limitation. Nature does not have the abilities to supplement the needs of the people for a long period of time without any forms of reinforcement.

During the early centuries, the entire world was covered with wide forests. Forests are areas or portions of the earth that generally contains plants and natural growing organisms. In general the type of soil will determine the quality of the trees and other organic plants that can be found in forest. However this portion of the earth is not only composed of trees and other plants. It also serves as the shelter of different breeds of animals. It is the main sanctuary for birds and other wild animals.

Industrialization is the main reason why there are only few forests left on the other regions of the earth. People utilized the natural resources by cultivating and destroying some of the forests. As time has passed by, large forests were replaced with buildings and factories that are all made by human. Most of the time the trees from forests are used by the people to satisfy their needs.

Logging is the process of cutting and transporting trees to a certain factory. Logging involves a large production of trees that are being cut-off from the forest. It is a well-planned harvest of trees. It requires the use of tractors and other moving equipments for transportation purposes. Meanwhile illegal logging is another type of harvesting trees from the forest. People who engaged in this activity are those who are selfish and careless when it comes to nature. Moreover this type of activity is not approved or supported by the government. It is because there are negative implications of abusing the natural resources.

It is not good to abuse nature and its entities. It would be very difficult for humans to continue life without the presence or help from nature. In order to preserve nature several concerned citizens created a committee or an organization that aims to protect the remaining forests of the world.

Forestry is the management of forest lands in order to ensure the growth and development of several types of forest. It also includes the guidelines in the proper way of propagating and cultivating trees for the betterment of the environment. It also includes the guidelines when it comes to logging and other forms of harvesting trees from the forest.

Forestry equipments are also used in specific instances to maintain the natural habitat of the animals. Forestry equipments were also created in order to help those who engage in this type of activity. Logging becomes easy and fast with the use of forestry equipments. In general forestry equipments are somewhat similar to those of the construction sites.

Make Your Garden Organized With Teak Patio Furniture

By Kenny K Leichester

Many people nowadays believe in the efficacy of Feng Shui. That this method one way or the other help organize the way they do things. An example is when they arrange their garden resin wicker patio furniture to conform to certain rules

They would consider where the sun would be rising (of course in the east) and they would specifically place their chairs and some tables there so that when the sun rises they are actually basking in the first rays of the morning. It is like greeting the morning and providing you energy to last thru the day

Most Asian and Western civilizations have approved this method which is already bringing good luck in their lives. A chunk of masses prefer keeping their teak patio furniture including chairs in the western portion for having direct sun ray and an observation of the setting sun while tired by sitting there in the afternoons.

Feng Shui also teaches some basic color combination to choose when arranging your furniture. According to the practice the Northern part of your garden or backyard or front yard should contain the colors blue, grey, green and natural wood. Thus, your furniture with this color combination should be in the direction

Choose yellow, blue, natural wood and green colors for the eastern portion whereas the southern part must have red, green and natural wood colors. You can choose silver, white, terracotta, grey and yellow colors for the western area. Your teak patio furniture should have excellent and dominating color schemes for having perfect outlook

Most people don’t believe what impact Feng Shui has on the human lives. It is proved that this brings luck, happiness and harmony in life. That is why arrangements and keeping the items in particular places, as per the situations or events has a say in brining luck and prospects in our lives

Various garden furniture items particularly resin wicker patio furniture are designed uniquely. They keep our outdoors in proper arrangement. You don’t require industrious efforts in keeping them clean. Some furniture items made by hardwoods may fade after a certain period hence they should be cleaned by appropriate scrubbing in all the effected portions. You can take help of garden furniture oil for this purpose. It is best option to keep them well-maintained

Be careful though when you buy some of your hardwood furniture. Be sure to ask your supplier where the hardwood came from. It is our duty and responsibility to stop the trade of illegal logging by not patronizing products that comes from them. Illegal logging causes irreparable damage to nature

Illegal practices turn many forest covers barren. We are well aware of this fact that when trees are cut and not replaced with new plantation, disastrous circumstances dominate the environment. It is advisable that the suppliers and stores favouring or attempting new tree plantation with valid permits should always be encouraged. This small effort of ours is a great source to safeguard the environment.

Enjoying your garden and making it as your refuge and sanctuary is an ideal situation. Your garden should renew you because of the fresh and wonderful things that you can observe there. These include the rising and the setting of the sun. The gentle breeze as it ruffles the leaves of your trees as well as the chirping of some birds that are happily perching on the branches as they too take their rest

Make coming closer to nature your first priority. Human beings are very much dependent upon nature. When we destroy natural wealth for the sake of ‘development in the world’ we in fact destroy a section of the humanity itself

Nature links all things for sustainable growth. Feng Shui believes in this philosophy and applies it in human lives where mere disconnection or destruction of any particular system invites countless troubles. We must care for the nature in lieu of its graces which it pours upon us to keep us in warmth. Enjoy this warmth and natural beauty through sitting in the teak patio furniture or resin wicker patio furniture in your garden.

How Illegal Logging Is Devastating Our Forests

By Erin Hunt

Illegal logging is devastating our forests around the world. Habitats and homes of animals and indigenous tribes are being destroyed at an alarming rate. Illegal logging and deforestation are destroying the ecosystem in which we live. Animals that depend on the forests for food and shelter are forced to move to other locations to survive.

Life cycles of plants and animals are turned topsy turvy. In fact the perceived increased in deer population might be due to the deers driven from their homes. When the forests are cleared for prospective shopping malls, retail and office outlets and housing, we are clearing their homes. So animals land in our backyard.

In 2003, the forestation rate in some parts of the Amazon was the second highest ever recorded at 26,130 square kilometers. Some figures conclude that over 1.6 billion people dependent on the forest for their livelihood and 60 million for their subsistence are displaced.

Illegal logging is advancing at alarming rates in Southeast Asia too. Wildlife in the islands of Sumatra and Borneo could be facing extinction if something is not done right away. At the current rate of destruction, 98 percent of the remaining forests will be gone by 2022. Orangutans in particular face the biggest threat. A species that once numbered in the hundreds of thousands becomes one of the most endangered species in the world today because of illegal poaching, logging and forests fires.

Much of the money obtained from illegal logging is used to fund wars, money laundering and other organized crimes. The problem stems from weak governing laws over the timber trade. Neither the United States nor Japan has laws prohibiting the import of illegally logged timber. All this encourages these companies to boost profits and continue destroying our precious forests.

The problem must first of all be addressed by the current administration. Governments around the world must stop accepting the import of these illegally logged timbers. When there is no demand for it the supply will stop. As concerned citizens we must get involved with Green peace or log on to sites like thepetitionsite.com and make let your voices be heard.

A bar code program funded by The home Depot and the US and British Agencies for International Development has been successful in keeping track of illegal logging in Indonesia. It works by using computerized barcodes on timber coming in from Indonesia. It is a tracking device that helps ensure the timber was logged legally. These barcodes give timber a virtual fingerprint and is unique to the log it is attached. Specific information is coded in, including exactly where it came from. Considering about 75 percent of Indonesia’s logging practices are of the illegal nature, a tracking device is the only way for the United States and other countries to stop accepting illegal timber. When illegal companies known that there timber will not be accepted, then they will be forced to comply with the law.

Global warming is a threat that will affect generations to come. The atmosphere surrounding us that supports life is a God-given gift. It must be protected. We should be leaders in efforts to curb global warming, not resistant followers.
